    @TheFelix187 yes

  3. Riff28Raff says:

my dog can heal both sides because when im walking him i like him to walk the road side because it keeps him away from the dog shit on the inside, if im going down the shops hes on my left when im coming home hes on my right.
no leash with me, i trained my dog to heel without a leash, i used the tip of a fishing road to tap him into position, while also using words, now i only need to use words rarely, the rod tip was in the bin after 3months of training.

Around the world, dogs heel on the left and horses on the right. If you’ve ever handled both at the same time (many people do), you’ll find this is important. No reason you can’t teach for either side. But if you show in obedience, it must be on the left.

  6. NatashaHope17 says:

You can teach heel on either side. I teach on the left so when I walk along side roads she’s on the inside. Of course you can teach it on either side, it doesn’t really matter, just pick a side and stick to it!

  7. Nigella1000 says:

One source says that hunting dogs and guard dogs walked on the left side so the hunter or
soldier could carry and use his gun in his right hand. Whatever the reason, your dog must
heel on your left side for obedience competition. But in agility (an obstacle course for dogs),
it’s very helpful if your dog knows how to walk and run beside you on EITHER side. So
agility people teach their dog an additional phrase

Why is heel on the left side. Can I teach my dog to heel on the right?

    i love your videos

  10. JurassicCat says:

So long as the dog obeys the commands and does what you want it to, the word doesn’t matter.

  11. racinvr8 says:

Uh, no. Neither are Rottweilers or Dobermans or Pitbulls, for that matter. An untrained, unsocialized dog of any breed is what is dangerous around kids.

  12. racinvr8 says:

Interesting! I always find “heel” the hardest concept to teach to puppies. Your approach makes sense by making “heel” an action they can do, instead of telling the puppies to simply stop pulling on the leash.

  14. KIBAfang90 says:
