Hey, can you help i rly want a husky and where going to get one but i know they love to sled is there any alternative becaus there’s no snow in the summer :s
I’ve had mine for 12 years and this is the third one I have had. All of mine were free from the pound because people don’t understand that they need to run.
First rule, exercise every day . A bored huskie is not good .
They love people and are great buddies but they are all energy.
Gentle leader training collar will help with the pulling.

My Husky comes, sits, stops, but will not stop pulling on the leash! lol.
thx mine is about 9 weeks too.. yeah im potty training him right now so far its going great… but i still have to put a traning pad inside for him incase im at work or sleeping… i live in an apartment and 1 of my problem with my husky is, he likes to dig.. he already ruin my carpet… so there goes my deposit money

well i got my husky recently too at 7 weeks old now hes about 9 weeks and they pick up fast.
Just praise him every time he pees outside and my only problem is him peeing at night i cant really control that unless you can wake up 1-2 times during the nigh to take him out.
Also these guys love attention give him alot of attention and make sure from when hes a little pup that he knows your in charge and not him.
That’s the best HOW TO TRAIN A HUSKY VID on youtube! The others are just BULLSHIT! This one really tells you about huskies…. BUT IT IS NOT COMPLETE!!! There are a lot of other things that you have to know BEFORE you buy a husky! Otherwise YOU and your dog will be very unhappy one day…!!!!
i know what you mean about husky i got one thats was about 3 weeks old male paid about 500 for it and its white and brown with white/bluesh eyes and right now he is about 4 and half months old and its worth the money i paid for it i dont regrete it i get alot of attention from women when i take him out he so full of energy they dont stink like other dogs and very play full but overall they are a good company everyday take hime out make sure your dog hass all shot b4 taking him out 1/2 greatday
i bought my siberian husky yesterday.. hes still a pup. and i wanna potty train him asap any tips?… hes so adoroble.. drove 5 hours 1 way and 5 back to pick him up.. it was worth the drive!
no, its not bad training, its just how the breed is. Think about it, the siberian husky was bread to work in the winter but also take care of it’s self in the summer. high prey drive and independence is vital for survival. This is fine in the wilds of the tundra but problematic in more populated areas. Unfortunately no amount of training will overcome instinct with 100% sucess. Train, train, train, but never trust 100%

i just got a husky, he’s all white. He’s almost 3 months old and he knows sit, down and paw haha,…this guy’s right though it’s ALOT of work to get him to come to me when I want him too luckily im off for a month from school so i can focus on training him
one of mine is already certified as a service dog. She is a wonderful animal and since getting her my husband has been able to go off all his depression meds. The problem we have to work on now is she hates other female dogs– this started about a month ago.
If you can take it on a long walk a few times a day and go to dog parks and such it should be fine. If you don’t have the time, then get a different breed.
my husky have heared perfect untill he was an year old… Then he got his own head, and if i call him he looks out what’s the reason why i’m calling him… Chap is very clever!

I want to buy Husky but the problem is that i live in a not so big house and we don’t have back yard. The Husky will be depressed or he will become normal with the enviroment? tell if i should take Husky or not
just do it thats what we did you wont regret it they are so smart and so loving they learn really really quick they are easy to train problem is the get bored with trick and them just refuse to follow commands cause theyre “bored of that one” lol just make sure you have a very very well fenced back yard they are the ultimate escape artists!!

Your dog is still only an puppy and hasn’t reached the independent adolecent stage yet. Many, many owners find they have young huskies who are perfect with their recall but when the reach 1 year to 18 months they suddenly stop listening. Just something to be aware of.
