i saw the other video with this dog and shes tricky, she sometimes goes for the trick before its told just to get the food, smart dog lol

What’s the purpose of tapping while holding the dumbell just curious?

The tapping is basically teaching the puppy to continue holding until she is giving the cue “give”. So, no matter what happens while holding… whether we’re walking, I’m tapping on the dumb bell, moving my hand in front of her face, holding/shaking the dumb bell as it’s in her mouth… she continues to hold. The only time she is to release it, is on the “give” cue. It’s basically proofing the hold.
